`The annual Donor Appreciation and Recognition Dinner is Rowan Regional Medical Center Foundation's major event expressing our appreciation and gratitude to our contributors and special friends.

The highlights of the event is the presentation of the Wilson L. Smith Philanthropic Award. This prestigious award, formerly the President's Award, is presented annually in grateful recognition of exceptional philanthropy and sustained service in support of Rowan Regional Medical Center and its Foundation and for the advancement of healthcare in Rowan County.

This award is named in honor of Wilson L. Smith, whose extraordinary philanthropy, dedicated service and inspirational advocacy established a permanent legacy by enabling and promoting the creation of quality healthcare facilities and services at Rowan Regional Medical Center to benefit current and future generations of Rowan County residents.

Contributors of $500 or more annually are invited to this donor recognition event. Typically, 250 guests attend the reception, dinner and presentation program.
