Rowan Medical Center's Cancer Center makes having your annual mammogram more convenient than ever. It is a comfortable, tranquil environment designed to make women feel at ease.
We offer the latest screening technology. Digital mammography is one of the best tools in early detection to help find cancer in its early, most treatable stages.
The center is staffed by Board-certified radiologists and is nationally accredited in mammography. Our technologist have advanced training in breast imaging and are certified in mammography.
If screening mammography shows any potential problems, you will be scheduled for diagnostic imaging as soon as possible. A nurse navigator and a mammography technologist will be there to help you by answering questions and scheduling follow-up procedures, as needed. These procedures may include a diagnostic mammogram, breast ultrasound or breast MRI.
Should diagnostic imaging reveal any suspicious findings, a Board-certified radiologist and pathologists will partner to biopsy and evaluate this area of concern. If you need additional care, a nurse navigator will connect you with a team of cancer specialists.
Rowan Medical Center's Cancer Center has both stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsy technology. If needed, MRI-guided biopsy technology is available at the Rowan Medical Center.
