Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
This program provides personalized nutritional assessment and instruction for diabetes and other medical conditions. Rowan Regional Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition Outpatient Services offers this program to those who are at risk for nutritional complications, have diabetes, or other medical conditions.
Medical Nutrition Therapy is an individual appointment for personalized nutritional assessment and intervention with a Registered Dietitian. Services are provided for adults and pediatrics.
The following are some of the nutrition interventions we provide:
Cancer
Cardiovascular disease
Diabetes
Food allergies
Gastric bypass
GI disorders
General nutrition and wellness (adults and pediatrics)
Gout
Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol, high triglycerides)
Hypertension
Impaired glucose tolerance (pre-diabetes)
Irritable bowel
Kidney disease
Obesity and weight loss (adult and pediatrics)
Pregnancy
Underweight or malnourished
Vegetarian
