HIV Case Management
HIV Case Management
Help is available in Rowan County for people with HIV and AIDS.
Rowan Regional Medical Center works to improve healthcare delivery, supportive services and the quality of life for persons living with HIV and AIDS. The goal of HIV Case Management is to remove barriers to care for individuals living with HIV or AIDS.
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a disease that keeps the body from being able to fight off other diseases. It is caused by the virus know as Human Immuno-deficiency Virus (HIV).
A person may be infected with HIV for many years before he or she begins to feel sick. People who have this virus can still have productive lives for many years.
Anyone who tests positive for HIV is eligible for case management services. A doctor's order is not needed to access this service.
