Respiratory Rehabilitation
Rowan Regional Medical Center’s Respiratory Care Services specializes in diagnosing and treating problems relating to the lungs. Our well-trained respiratory therapists work in all levels of the hospital – from the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit to the Physical Rehabilitation department -- to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating respiratory symptoms. The department has been awarded the Quality Respiratory Care Recognition by the American Association for Respiratory Care and serves as the clinical site for Stanly Community College’s allied health program.
Respiratory Care offers the full range of respiratory care and diagnostic services, including:
Pulmonary Functioning Tests
Arterial Blood Gas Analysis
Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing
EKGs (Electrocardiograms)
EEGs (Electroencephalograms)
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
Our Respiratory Care department also organizes the local Better Breathing Club, offering support and resource information for those who suffer from asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or other pulmonary diseases. Smoking cessation classes are also offered at different times of the year. For more information, call
