Founded in a 1936 as a private, not-for-profit institution, Rowan Regional is a fully-accredited general medical center with accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Rowan Regional is governed by an 18-member board of directors comprised of men and women from the business community, educational institutions and the medical staff, all of whom volunteer their service to the medical center.
