Cuddly Baby

Cuddling a new infant in your arms is one of life's greatest joys. When the time comes, you want to give birth in comfortable surroundings with a highly skilled team to assist you.

At Rowan Regional Medical Center, our Women's Health Services make the experience of birth more comfortable, joyful, and intimate.

Our 34 private maternity suites include 3 Triage rooms for examinations, 6 Labor, delivery and recovery rooms, 2 Operating rooms for caesarean sections with a post-anesthesia recovery area, and 19 Antepartum and Postpartum rooms (six with fetal monitoring capabilities) are designed to allow you and your family a rewarding experience in a relaxed setting.

Our private postpartum rooms feature many homelike amenities such as spacious bathrooms with bathtubs and/or walk-in/roll-in showers in each room, closet/storage space, cable TV, and wireless Internet access.  Other amenities include soft pastel colors, hardwood floors, and elegant furniture.

Experienced Maternity Staff

Our maternity nurses average eight years of experience, and all are certified in neonatal resusitation. We have a special Level II nursery capable of caring for sick or premature babies. And the Women's Health Educator at the Resource Center provides valuable information for new mothers.

"Rooming In" With Your Baby

You, your baby and family members can begin building strong bonds here in the Women's and Children's Center. In fact, your baby can stay in your room with you during your entire stay at Women's Health Services.

Information About A Woman's Special Needs

There's more to Women's Health Services than birthing suites and postpartum rooms. It's a place where women can come for information, to attend classes, or simply to talk with qualified health specialists about special concerns.

Our Women's Resource Area has a vast array of materials on different topics, including videos and printed information that's available on loan from our library.
