Simply
put, Body image is what you see when you look in the mirror. Of course,
it’s much more complicated than that when you start to think
about it. Body image is how you perceive your physical appearance,
and how you feel about your body, particularly your weight and figure.
Body image is the feeling you get when you’re changing in the
locker room, or how you feel when you’re trying on a new bathing
suit in the store’s dressing room. Body image can be positive,
but that seems to be rare. Lots of girls, and women too, are critical
of their bodies and spend plenty of time, money and emotional energy
worrying about and even trying to change their physique. In fact
body image concerns are very often a major source of frustration,
sadness, anxiety and even sickness in girls your age. |
